Do I have to relax or can I be active while listening?

You can do both. It is up to you. Try out what works for you.

Do I need to repeat the affirmations?

No that is not nessesary. You can if you want to. You can also just allow them to flow to you and through you.

Do I need to focus on something specific?

No, you don´t need to focus on or think about something specific.  Some find that they enjoy being present while listening.

Eyes open or closed?

There is no rule to this. It depends on the situation and what you prefer. For some, when eyes are closed it might be easier to relax and go into a meditative state. In that state, it is said that (alpha or theta brainwaves) our subconscious is more open and receptive to affirmation. Some feel like moving while listening to affirmation. If you are in a setting where you don’t feel like or can’t close your eyes, then don’t. Do what feels right at the moment.

Can I listen to this while sleeping?

Yes, it is safe. It may sometimes impact your dreaming since your subconscious is working on integrating the affirmations.

Use headphones or not?

Headphones are not required. However, they can help you enhance the listening experience and audio stimulation. Do what you prefer. Do what gives YOU the best experience.

What is the optimal volume?

The volume that you find comfortable is optimal.

How much time should I invest to benefit from the affirmations?

It is said that a new neurological pattern in our brain needs 28 – 30 days of repetition/practice before it becomes automatic. However, when working with changing our belief-system with affirmations—there are many factors involved. Setting a specific timeframe is not possible. But, repition over time is key. The short-term effect may be immediate. However, if we want a long-term effect, but the affirmations we use are very “far” from our current reality, then our resisting beliefs working against the affirmations; then we need to invest more time in integrating and embodying them. The more time, focus, and energy we give something, the more it expands. Being willing to change, repeating the affirmations over time; taking physical action that reflects the affirmations you are using; and in addition doing Inner Work: healing your wounds and triggers; these are all keys for integration, embodiment, and lasting change. Everything affects everything. Those who stick with it will reap the rewards of their patience and perseverance.
