Sit, stand, or lie down?

There’s no special “guided meditation position.” We would recommend finding a quiet and comfortable place where you can sit or lie down. Turn off your phone and leave the “do not be disturbed sign” on your door.

Do I need to focus on something specific?

Focus on the guided journey to the best of your ability. If you drift away a bit here and there. That is okay. If thoughts come and go, that is okay. Allow those thoughts to flow by like clouds in the sky.

What if I fall asleep?

That´s okay. However, you will likely get much more out of it when you stay awake. It is natural and ok if you dose of once in a while; nothing happens, except that you miss some of the guided visualizations. It is all okay and safe. It is worth mentioning that sometimes we fall asleep during meditations because our subconscious mind needs to be uninterupted by our logical mind, for deeper change to take place. Eyes open or closed?

My recommendation is eyes closed. However, there is no rule to this. When your eyes are closed you will more easily go into a light to deep meditative state. This is natural and automatic. In that state, your subconscious is more open and receptive to the positive suggestions. You can also go into a meditative state with your eyes open if you relax lying down, sitting, or standing. Do whatever you feel is most comfortable and effective for you.

Use headphones or not?

Headphones are not required. However, they can help you enhance the listening experience and audio stimulation. Do what you prefer. Do what gives YOU the best experience.

What is the optimal volume?

The volume that you find comfortable is optimal.

How much time should I invest to benefit from this guided meditation?

It is said that a new neurological pattern in our brain needs 28 – 30 days of repetition/practice before it becomes automatic. However, when working with changing our belief-system, doing healing work, and transformational work in general—there are many factors involved. Setting a specific timeframe is not possible. But, repition over time is key. The short-term effect may be immediate. However, if we want a long-term effect we need to invest more time in the process. Integration and embodyiment of the changes takes time. The more time, focus, and energy we give something, the more it expands. Being willing to change and taking physical action towards the version of you and the life you want to create for yourself is essential. In addition doing Inner Work: healing your emotional wounds, traumas, and triggers; these are all keys for integration, embodiment, and lasting change. Everything affects everything. Those who keep walking the path of never-ending growth and expansion, will reap the rewards of their patience and perseverance.

What if the meditation makes me feel uncomfortable?

That can be that a part of you are resisting the process in some way. Some people are “stressing” that they need to do it right (there is no right way to do this, it´s YOUR process) Maybe it´s out of your comfort zone, even if it´s positive. It might also be that emotional wounds are coming to surface for healing. The meditations I create are intended for deep healing, activations, and expansion of consciousness. If you feel that an emotional wound/trauma is triggered, then I suggest that you allow yourself to feel through the emotions, even if they are unconfortable and intense. Emotions that have been stuck in the body for years can have a huge energetic charge, and the way to discharge is to feel the emotions fully.
Your body is the vehicle in which emotions are processed and released. Your subconscious mind is your protector, and it will only “give” you as much as you are ready to handle at the moment you are doing this process – for your highest good.

During the process of releasing and healing; it is normal, ok, and safe to cry, shake, jolt, or even laugh. You may feel intense emotions or nothing at all. The way your system releases built-up emotion is unique to you. There is no right or wrong. Allow yourself to go safely through the process. Every time you listen to my guided meditations you may have a different experience each time. It´s all a process. If alot of emotions are coming up during a particular guided meditation I suggest that you listen to it repeatedly once per day or every other day, until you feel that the emotions you are healing and purging have discharged. You will know.
