Small Choice = HUGE Consequence!!

When it comes to our every day life, we are facing hundreds of smaller choices every day. These choices define the quality of our lives. The seemingly smaller choices can over time produce huge negative or positive consequences. Our smaller choices are vital for us. Period. I want to serve this as simple as possible. Here are some examples of the choices we may face each day. Please take your time to reflect over the huge impact these different choices can have in your life.

  • Am I going to watch this movie until the end, or am I going to bed and wake up feeling refreshed tomorrow?
  • Am I going to eat that chocolate or am I going to drink a glass of water?
  • Am I going to stare at the TV, or Am I going to spend time with my wife/husband/children?
  • Am I going to lie on the couch with a bad conscience, or Am I just going to get up do my workout?
  • Am I going to blame my boss/girlfriend/dad, etc, or Am I going to take responsibility and do what it takes?
  • Am I going to eat up all the food on my plate even though I Am full, or Am I going to stop now and feel good because I listened to my body?
  • Am I going to bring work home with me, or Am I going to play with my children when I come home?
  • Am I going to lay on the coach or Am I going to change the tires on my car right now?
  • Am I going to complain, or Am I going to find a solution?
  • Am I going to use 10 dollars on food, or Am I going to save that money and eat at home/bring food with me?
  • Am I going to have a soda or water?
  • Am I just going to think about taking a walk, or Am I going to do it?
  • Am I going to hold on to this irritation or Am I going to let go and move on?
  • Am I going to drink one more cup of coffee or Am I going to have glass of water instead?
  • Am I going to drive to the store or Am I going to walk and enjoy the fresh air?
  • Am I going to continue drinking 10 cups of coffee everyday, or Am I going to decrease the intake
  • to half and drink more water instead?
  • Am I going to surf the internet wasting my time and procrastinating, or Am I going to use my time wisely and “fix that problem”?
  • Am I going apologise right away, or Am I going to hold on to feeling guilty?
  • Am I going get up from bed right away, or Am I going sleep some more and risk starting my day of stressed about coming on time for work, etc?
  • Am I going to follow through on my plan, or Am I going to check my email and surf facebook?
  • Am I going to do something with these I am reading tips now, or Am I going to forget them by “doing them later”?

How would your life be different if you choose to be much more aware, conscious and focused on your small choices everyday? Can you imagine now how much more empowered and in control you would feel?

From the Heart,
Kenneth
